About Bridges
Bridges Elementary School opened in the 2016-17 school year as a neighborhood campus for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Bridges Elementary offers all the programs and classes currently available at all Higley elementary schools, including:
- Kids Club, a morning and after-school care program offered through Community Education
- Higley Youth Sports League, an after-school athletics program offered through Community Education
- Elementary school band, orchestra, technology, physical education and arts programs
Bridges Elementary School was awarded an "A" for the 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 school years by the Arizona A-F Accountability System, and was recently ranked the ninth best elementary school in Arizona by the U.S. News and World Report.
At Bridges, we believe in equipping our students with the skills they need to be successful in the unpredictable and ever-changing 21st century workplace. Aside from learning the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards, our students are immersed in learning environments that promote creative and critical thinking, communicating, and collaborating. Bridges Elementary integrates campuswide project-based learning with a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) emphasis, a makers place, robotics, 3D printing, virtual reality and gifted and talented learning opportunities.
School tours are offered Wednesdays at 3pm during regular school weeks. No appointment necessary.
Bridges is located in Gilbert, AZ, a community listed as the “Best Place to Raise a Family in Arizona by WalletHub” (No. 7 in U.S. & No. 1 in Ariz. 2019).
